Comparing Paragraph

     For my comparason, i chose a picture of a little girl living in poverty, and "The Lottery", by Shirley Jackon. They're alike, becasue of the hypocracy that goes along with both of them. In The Lottery, people were okay with going along with something that was clearly wrong, untill it was themselves that was getting targeted, like Mrs. Hutchison. At the beginning of the story, she said nothing bad about the lottery. But, when her family "won", she suddenly felt the whole thing was unfair. Not a lot of people try to help stop poverty, and to help those who live in it, but if it was themselfs, or someone that they love, that would be a whole different story.

Thamatic Blog- Intro
